The BRUCE system allows you to change not only the weight but also the shape of the weight without the need for lashing. When connecting to the line, put on a rubber adapter, under which you will then tie a roller swivel, preferably perforated with a diameter of 3 to 4 mm, which has the function of a stop. You can then attach one of the BRUCE system's exchangeable weights to the adapter, which can be freely changed during fishing. You will then tie your chosen rig on the other side of the swivel. If you want the swivel to resist pulling out and thus fulfill the function of the first jam during engagement, choose a swivel with a diameter of 3.5 - 4 mm. For larger diameters, you are not sure that the fish will pull the swivel out of the adapter after engagement. The rubber adapter works partly as a shock absorber and at the same time protects the knot on the swivel. An anti-tangling tube can also be used in this system, which can be inserted into the upper end of the adapter. Each weight from the BRUCE system is supplied with one rubber adapter.
